Adventure has a new name.
FANJET IS AN AMERICAN INVENTION similar to a mini-submarine for safe and fun underwater adventure. FanJet would easily be able to explore reefs and see all the sea life and wonderful environments of traveling underwater. Individuals could climb inside the FanJet and glide through the realm of the open water. The unique FanJet invention did not rely upon traditional propellers but rather a unique paddle system that utilized strong batteries to move paddles that would move water through an funnel system that was able to “jet” the water in a single direction for thrust. FanJet driver (captain) could steer or speed up or slow down the paddle system to maneuver the FanJet through the underwater environment.
Project Brief:
Client: Theodore E. Davis Architect and Associates, P.A.
The Client was not only an architect but an inventor and scientist. Mr. Davis had several inventions but FanJet was one of his favorite ideas. He wanted to develop a safe underwater vehicle for people and family adventures. FanJet was going to marketed to successful boat companies and/or JetSki companies. Mr. Davis hired me to help him refine the FanJet design and also help visualize the invention to promote the idea for boat or jetski manufacturers.
My Art Direction:
FanJet was a fun project. I enjoyed working with Mr. Davis and admired his talents. I first thought of safety which is why I recommended the color YELLOW. Second, I gathered all the data and preliminary concepts from Mr. Davis. Third, I created some preliminary designs of the exterior and the inner workings of the paddle fanjet system. Lastly, I put together a series of sketches and 3D designs as well as some videos showing the paddle system invention functionality and the overall FanJet design in a underwater environment.
My Production Process: Product Design, Logo Design, Branding, 3D Animation, Video (Visual FX) Production
